According to an August 30 article from the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), Tasnim news agency, affiliated to the IRGC Qods Force, wrote on August 28 that Mostafa Pour-Mohammadi, a member of Khomeini’s “Death Commission” and current Minister of Justice in Rouhani’s government, admitted to his role in the massacre of 30,000 political prisoners and members of the MEK in the summer of 1988.  He said he was proud of it.

When speaking at the administrative council meeting in the city of Khorram-Abad in Lorestan province on August 28,Pour-Mohammadi said, “We are proud we have implemented God’s order about Mojahedin (PMOI or MEK). We have stood against the enemy of God and people and confronted them with power. God have said that do not have mercy on the infidels because they do not have mercy on you and we should not have mercy on Mojahedin.”

As Iran currently executes the highest number of juvenile offenders in the world, hundreds of Iranian minors helplessly watch their childhoods pass them by, as they await their fatal ends behind bars.
At least 160 youths under the age of 18 currently await execution in Iran.
Shockingly, rights groups have reported that Iran has executed at least 230 people since the beginning of 2016.
While the majority of countries worldwide are fighting for the eradication of capital punishment against adults, Iran continues to sentence girls as young as 9 and boys aged 15 to death.
According to a recent report issued by Amnesty International, at least 160 young Iranians currently await execution.

The 1988 massacre of over 30,000 political prisoners in Iran

has been described as the worst crime against humanity since World War II.

28 years after this genocide, the Iranian regime still refuses to acknowledge the executions, or provide any information as to how many prisoners were killed.

Based on eyewitness accounts of survivors, the massacre had been prepared for from at least a year before. The order for the massacre came from Khomeini directly in the form of a religious decree (fatwa), calling for the execution of all who remained steadfast in their support for the opposition People's Mojahedin of Iran

A so-called Amnesty Commission (better known among prisoners as the Death Commission) asked a simple question from every prisoner: do you still support the PMOI/MEK? Those who answered yes were executed, even if they had already finished serving their original sentence. None of the victims had any new activities while in detention and many of them were 15 or 16 years of age at the time of original arrest and prosecution.

The executions started in the last week of July, peaking on July 28 until August 14, and continuing onto autumn and even the following year in some places.

Naturally, the vast majority of the victims were members and supporters of the PMOI/MEK, but the order extended to other groups in later stages.

Prisoners were hanged in groups, sometimes 10 to 15 at a time, and later transported out of prison by dump trucks, and buried in unmarked mass graves. There was no mercy on anyone, even young girls and pregnant women.

Okay. Let’s face it. The two presidential nominees have effectively been chosen.  The Democratic and Republican National Conventions are ahead of us, and the U.S. is on the precipice of a highly contentious several months of campaigning.  

Discord between the two major parties is always evident in American politics, but almost never more so than in the run-up to national elections. It would not be surprising if Washington lawmakers and the vast majority of their constituents all found it very difficult to identify common ground on anything in this political climate.

But there are some things that almost all Americans can agree on. There are more situations than you might realize in which Democrats and Republicans want to achieve the same goals, although we struggle to find a shared perspective on working toward them.

There is perhaps no better example than the universal imperative to confront the threat of Islamic extremism. There has been well-publicized discord over issues like the growth of the Islamic State, the response to home-grown terrorism, and attempts to stabilize the Middle East.  But this only goes to show that both parties are preoccupied with pinning down a solution.  

It may not seem so, but Republicans and Democrats absolutely can find common ground on this area of policy. In a very meaningful sense, some already have. If you look to Paris just about a week prior to the Cleveland RNC, you will see Republican and Democratic policymakers, including officials from several presidential administrations, standing side-by-side to show common cause in the fight against Islamic terrorism.

On July 9, they will take part in the convention (ironically bigger in size than either the RNC or DNC) organized by the National Council of Resistance of Iran, the democratic Iranian opposition. The “Free Iran” gathering in Paris will host a bipartisan American delegation, along with delegations from the EU and various nations of the world.

Italian human rights figure expresses solidarity with Iranian Resistance

Former Italian Elawmaker lisabetta Zamparutti has expressed her solidarity with the major gathering of Iranians and their international supporters in Paris on July 9 titled “Free Iran.”

In a video message aired by the Iranian opposition satellite channel Simay-e Azadi, Ms. Zamparutti, Treasurer of Hands Off Cain, also condemned the mullahs' regime for carrying out mass executions in Iran, exporting terrorism and murdering the people of Syria in complicity with dictator Bashar al-Assad.

She urged Western governments to recognize the Iranian Resistance as a “reliable alternative” to the mullahs’ regime.

Mrs. Zamparutti added: "We will participate in the major convention held annually by the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) in Paris. The Italian delegation and those from other countries will attend the event. I believe that it is time for Western governments to recognize the Iranian Resistance as a reliable alternative to the fanatical and misogynist regime ruling Iran."

British-Iranian citizen, Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe was arrested by the Revolutionary Guards while leaving Iran. Since her arrest a month ago, she has been kept in solitary confinement in Kerman.

She had travelled to Iran along with her 22-month-old daughter whose only British passport was taken at the airport and she would not be allowed to leave Iran.

Mrs. Zaghari has been deprived of legal representation since her arrest on April 3.  She was also deprived of calling her husband outside Iran and even visiting her infant daughter.

NCRI - Iran’s fundamentalist regime plans to completely blind a man with acid next week as a form of punishment under the mullahs’ brutal retribution law, according to news received from inside Iran.

Mojtaba Saheli (Sabeqi), 31, who was previously blinded in his left eye by the regime, has been informed by prison officials that he is to be blinded in the right eye with acid next week in Gohardasht (Rajai-Shahr) Prison in Karaj, north-west of Tehran.

On August 3, 2009 he allegedly blinded a driver in Qom, south of Tehran, with acid. The regime’s court in Qom sentenced Mr. Saheli to be blinded in both eyes with acid, pay blood money and serve a 10-year prison term as part of the regime’s inhumane law of retribution (qisas).

On March 3, 2015 he was blinded in one eye with acid in Gohardasht Prison in the presence of the regime’s deputy prosecutor in Tehran Mohammad Shahriari and prison officials after the draconian sentence was upheld by the regime’s Supreme Court.

Mr. Saheli is currently imprisoned in Ward 2 of Hall 4 of Gohardasht Prison. He had been told to pay blood money to avoid the new blinding sentence from being implemented on his right eye.

NCRI – The Iranian regime is denying hospital treatment to an ethnic Iranian  prisoner in the south-eastern city of Zahedan.

Mansour Mahmoudzehi, 47, imprisoned in the Central Prison of Zahedan, has developed stomach cancer, however the regime’s henchmen continue to prevent his transfer to hospital.

Mahmoudzehi has been imprisoned in Zahedan for over 10 years, during which time he has systematically been denied proper hospital treatment for his cancer.

Mahmoudzehi is not the only Iranian prisoner denied treatment for cancer.

IRAN: Khamenei appoints new personal representative in Syria

NCRI - The Iranian regime's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei has appointed a mullah as his new personal representative in Syria.

Abolfalz Tabatabai-Ashkezari was appointed to the role by Khamenei on Wednesday, April 27, the Tasnim news agency, run by the Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) Quds Forces, reported.

Khamenei has personal representatives in all 31 of Iran's provinces. The appointment of a personal representative in Syria signifies the importance Khamenei attaches to the fate of Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad.

Mehdi Ta’eb, a close protégé of Khamenei, had previously reiterated that Tehran's fate is intertwined with Assad's future. Mullah Ta’eb also described Syria as a "province of Iran."

Commenting on the appointment of mullah Abolfalz Tabatabai-Ashkezari as Khamenei's personal representative in Syria, Shahin Gobadi of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) on Monday said:

"Following the deployment of 60,000 IRGC forces, foreign mercenary militias from Iraq, Lebanon, Afghanistan and Pakistan, and more recently units of Iran's regular army, Khamenei has appointed a new mullah as his personal representative in Syria in order encourage his forces that have taken heavy casualties and are now demoralized in Syria."

 The UK Representative of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) has said that the rate of executions is rising during Hassan Rouhani’s presidency despite his claim to ‘moderation’. In an interview with the ncr-iran.org website on Tuesday 26 April Dowlat Nowrouzi said that recent visits to Tehran by European leaders had not lead to any improvement of the human rights situation in Iran.

Officials from Italy, France and Austria have all engaged with the Iranian government since the start of the year and a new, reduced sanctions framework. Federica Mogherini, the High Representative for the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, was in Tehran at the time of two executions. Mogherini and seven other commissioners were meeting to discuss trade agreements and increased co-operation.

Iran – Women: Female workers suffer from discrimination

According to official statistics, female workers make up only 5% percent of the total number of Iranian workers. They are thus ignored and even deprived of their minimum legal rights.

Some of the so-called privileges considered for women in the Iranian Labor Law, are actually working against women discouraging employers from employing women to dodge the rules on maternity leaves and creation of kindergartens and child care centers at the work place.

“Women mostly work in services sectors. Most of the women working in these sectors are single-parents. Given the economic situation, high inflation rate and soaring prices, women constantly face the risk of losing their jobs when their workplace gets shut down. A female worker who weaves a rug over a year, receives 1 million toumans as salary which is about 100,000 toumans per month. This is a quarter of a worker's minimum wage but since they badly need the money, they accept to work on such low wages. They are therefore exploited in this manner,” said Soheila Jelodarzadeh, a former member of the Iranian parliament.

London, 25 Apr - Last Sunday, 24 April, marked the 26th anniversary of Professor Kazem Rajavi’s assassination. Professor Rajavi was a renowned defender of human rights in Iran and the elder brother of Massoud Rajavi, the leader of the organised Iranian opposition.

Professor Rajavi was 56 when he was killed whilst driving to his home in Coppet, a village near Geneva. The assassination was carried out in broad daylight by members of the Iranian government’s infamous Ministry of Intelligence and Security (MOIS). Extensive investigations from Swiss authorities found 13 Iranian government agents including former President and one of the richest men in Iran - Ali Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani – to be involved in masterminding the assassination.

Professor Rajavi held six doctorate degrees in law, political science and sociology from universities in Paris and Geneva. He was an active advocate for a free Iran, establishing the Swiss Society for Defence of Iranian Political Prisoners in 1971 with Geneva resident Christian Grobet who went on to become head of government advisors.

Paris-Maryam Rajavi, President of the “People’s Mujahedin of Iran” party, said that the Iranian regime is founded on three main pillars for it to prevail. The three principals are assembling a nuclear deterrent,absolute oppression of the interior and the export of terrorism and extremism to the outside.

Rajavi, in an interview with Asharq Al-Awsat newspaper, said believes that Tehran’s strategy is established on the extent of interference it manages in affairs of other countries, the incitement of war and the exporting of terrorism; however, all the regime’s plots have failed after the Decisive Storm.

“The Iranian regime can be defeated once and for all in Bahrain if it was confronted with a decisive alliance formed by regional countries,” Rajavi said. She mentioned that the Iranian regime is close to drowned in the swamps of the Syrian civil war.
